2025 Aquatics Canada Aquatiques Volunteer of the Year Award

Aquatics Canada Aquatiques (ACA) is proud to announce Michelle Comeau as the recipient of the 2025 Volunteer of the Year award — one of the highest honours we bestow upon a leader whose outstanding service has significantly advanced Canadian aquatic sport.

Michelle Comeau has been a pillar of support, leadership, and inspiration within the Canadian aquatic community for many years. Her contributions as a volunteer, particularly in the role of Chef de Mission for the Canadian aquatic teams at multiple World Aquatics Championships, demonstrate her unwavering dedication to athletes, coaches, and mission staff alike.

Leadership as Chef de Mission

Michelle’s service to Team Canada and Aquatics Canada Aquatiques has been remarkable, including:

Throughout her years of service, she has built a lasting legacy of mentorship, professionalism, and generosity that has strengthened the aquatic community and positively shaped the experiences of countless athletes, coaches, and volunteers. Her impact has strengthened Canada’s presence internationally.
